The Prince is an upcoming American animated sitcom created by Gary Janetti for HBO Max.[1]

Plot

The Prince will focus on a six-year old Prince George who makes life hard for his family and the British monarchy.[2]

Production

On April 17, 2020, Gary Janetti released a trailer of Prince George.[3]

Controversy

Kayleigh Donaldson of Pajaba stated that "Janetti's work lacks intent and appropriate targets. It’s just post after post of a 54-year-old man pretending to be a child so that he can spew the mundane level of misogyny that both the general public and the royal media already deal in. Is there a way for a writer to turn a literal child into a conduit for jokes about the royal family (The Prince)? I imagine it can be done, but Janetti’s skills are sorely lacking."[4]
