Kudumbini (Malayalam: കുടുംബിനി) is a 1964 Indian Malayalam film, directed and produced by P. A. Thomas. The film stars Prem Nazir, Sheela, Kaviyoor Ponnamma and Adoor Bhasi in the lead roles. The film has musical score by L. P. R. Varma.[1][2][3] The film received a certificate of merit at the annual National Film Awards.

Cast

Plot

Two classy 1960s South Indian housewives (Sheela and Kaviyoor Ponnamma) struggle to maintain their happiness and financial well-being while living with their prideful in-laws and husbands (Prem Nazir and Thikkurissi Sukumaran Nair). The film focuses on the vital role housewives play in families.

Soundtrack

The music was composed by L. P. R. Varma and the lyrics were written by Abhayadev.
