Albawings is an Albanian airline headquartered in Tirana and based at Tirana International Airport.

History

Albawings was founded in February 2015[1] by two entrepreneurs, Gentian Kole and Dhimitër Tola. Albawings was awarded the Air Operator‘s Certificate (AOC) by the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority on 4 February 2016.[2][3] The first and only aircraft of the company, a Boeing 737-500, with which Albawings started its operations, was called "Spirit of Tirana".[4]

Codeshare agreements

Albawings signed a codeshare agreement with Blue Panorama Airlines on 13 September 2016. They operate together on new destinations linking Tirana with other Italian cities like Turin, Treviso and Florence.[6]
