Apurinã (Ipurina) is a Southern Maipurean language spoken in Amazonia by the Apurinã people. It has an active–stative syntax.[2]

Phonology

Vowels

Apurinã vowels are obligatorily nasalized by surrounding nasal vowels[clarification needed], even across word boundaries.[3]
