Barhi is a town and a Nagar Parishad in Katni district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India.A Biggest business hub including lot people serving in Abroad as well.

Geography

Barhi is located at 23°54′N 80°48′E / 23.9°N 80.8°E / 23.9; 80.8.[1] It has an average elevation of 361 metres (1184 feet).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[2] Barhi had a population of 10,923. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Barhi has an average literacy rate of 58%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 62% of the males and 38% of females literate. 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Barhi is connected 4 main road Bus services daily 2 hour from distric head quater.

By Rail

Barhi have Rail Way Station its name is Khanna Banjari Rail Way Station. How ever Katni Rail Way Station is major railway station 52 KM near to Barhi.

Near by city is Vijayraghavgarh around 25 km distance from here. Bus services is Vijayraghavgarh to katni every 10 minutes.
