Brittany Elizabeth Hogan Mayer (born 1985) is a beauty queen from Escondido, California who was Miss Escondido 2005, Miss San Diego 2005, Miss California USA 2005 and 1st Runner-Up at Miss USA 2005.

Miss California USA 2005

Mayer won the Miss California USA title in a state pageant held in Fresno, California in September 2004. It was her first attempt at this title, although she had previously placed in the top 10 for Miss California Teen USA 2001. She competed as Miss City of San Diego in the pageant, which she won over one hundred contestants.

Miss USA 2005

Mayer represented California in the Miss USA 2005 pageant held in Baltimore, Maryland in April 2005 and placed first runner-up to Chelsea Cooley of North Carolina. Mayer's placement was her state's highest since 1998, when Shauna Gambill also placed first runner-up. Her sister titleholder was Stephanie Brink, Miss California Teen USA 2005, who placed fourth runner-up in the Miss Teen USA 2005 pageant. These placements made California the highest placed state for 2005. Mayer crowned her successor, Tamiko Nash of North Los Angeles, in October 2005.

Personal life

Mayer, the oldest of seven children, was a political science student at Palomar College in San Marcos, San Diego County at the time of her pageant win. Her goal was to earn a degree in journalism from the University of California and work as a news correspondent and public speaker for humanitarian causes.

Was contestant on Fear Factor in 2005 on the Miss USA episode #5.29.

In January 2006 she temporarily put her career plans on hold, moving to Entebbe, Uganda to spend roughly a year studying and working with orphans in the bush village with New Hope organisation.

After returning home, Mayer began extensive work with the District Attorney. She married her longtime sweetheart and personal trainer from the Miss USA competition, Wesley Mayer on June 11, 2009.[1] The two reside in San Diego.
