If this category is about hate crimes why are the articles within it named after people? And are the named people the victims or the perpetrators of the crimes? I suspect that in most cases that there isn't much notable to say about the people besides the crime, so I suggest that each of the articles be retitled something like "The Joe Smith murder" and possibly rewrite the article so that it talks primarly about the crime and to put biographical information about the victim and perp in subsections. --JeffW18:29, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Jeff, When an article gets categorized, it isn't the title that gets put in the category it is the article. One example of this is The Pet Goat which is in Category:George W. Bush. There is no need to rename The Pet Goat to What George W. Bush was reading when he was told about the Septermber 11th attacks. In some cases there is just a single paragraph that justifies the inclusion of an article into a category. So each article can and should be written as a stand alone piece of writing and does not have to be shaped by a strict category taxonomy. If any of the articles in this category would be improved by renaming and rewriting, this can still happen, but there is no necessity of doing this for the sake of the category. -- Samuel Wantman19:54, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
