Cates is an unincorporated community in Fulton Township, Fountain County, Indiana.

History

A post office was established at Cates in 1883, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1984.[3] Cates was platted in 1903.[4]

Geography

Cates is located at 39°59′48″N 87°20′16″W / 39.99667°N 87.33778°W / 39.99667; -87.33778 between Kingman and Perrysville.
