Anish Dayanandan[edit]
Anish Dayanandan (born May 31, 1985) is an Indian VFX Supervisor and founder of DIGIBRICKS Entertainment Pvt Ltd, primarily working in multiple cinema industries in India.Anish Dayanandan was born to Dayanandan and Shyamala in Pathanamthitta, Kerala. He is married to Aiswarya, and the couple has a son named Adhidev.[1]
Career[edit]
Anish Dayanandan is a director at DIGIBRICKS Entertainment Pvt Ltd, a prominent VFX Studio located in Cochin, Kerala. The studio has been actively involved in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and numerous advertisement projects for the past 16 years. Anish is renowned for receiving the Kerala State Film Award for Best Visual Effects, first in the inaugural edition of the category in 2020 and a second award in 2022[2]
Hailing from Palakkad, Kerala, Anish began his career at Gemini VFX Studio in 2007, contributing to various regional films in Malayalam and Tamil. He later joined the internationally acclaimed studio Rhythm & Hues, working on several Hollywood projects, including "Mummy" and "Hulk." Subsequently, he served as a Senior Compositor at Green Gold Animation Studio.
In 2009 Anish moved to Kochi, Kerala, and established the first VFX Studio in the state. The studio commenced with a 3D animated Stereoscopic project for the 3D theatre in Wonderla Amusement park, Cochin. Anish's career took a significant turn with the film "Amen," directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, where he received credit and appreciation for his VFX work. During this time, many projects transitioned to Kerala, and Anish led multiple successful projects.[3]
In 2019, they incorporated as a private limited company under the name "DIGIBRICKS Entertainment Pvt Ltd. Today, DIGIBRICKS undertakes projects in Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema. Their ability to tackle new challenges and deliver exceptional results has earned them the trust of film directors.[4]
Anish's notable achievements include receiving two Kerala State Film Awards in the last three years. In 2020, after the introduction of the Visual Effects category, he received the inaugural award for the movie "Love."[5] [6]In 2022 he was again honoured with the Kerala State Film Award for Best Visual Effects for the film "Vazhakku".[7]
