Arshin Mehta (born 29 April 1995) is an Indian actress model who works in Hindi films, web series and television series. She is best known for her role in the critically acclaimed film The Diary of West Bengal as Suhasini Bhatacharya, which has established her as a prominent figure in the industry. [1][2]

Early Life and Education

Arshin was born on 29 April 1995 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India[1] into a Parsis Zoroastrian family. From an early age, she demonstrated a passion for education. She did her schooling from Ahmednagar , where she participated in various extracurricular activities. She went to SRES School to complete her 11th and 12th Class. She was also awarded ‘Student of the year’ award in her alma mater. Later, she pursued and completed a professional degree in chartered accountancy, further enhancing her diverse skill set and demonstrating her commitment to excellence.

After she completed her Chartered Accountancy studies in Pune[3], Arshin began participating in various beauty pageant, including Miss Citadel Pune, Miss Pune Central, Miss Pune Femina, and Miss Campus Princess. Mehta embraced these opportunities to further her involvement in the public eye.

She has acted in web series such as Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu (2021) and Fuh se Fantasy (2023).

Career

Arshin Mehta began her career as an advertisement model, appearing in a range of prominent ad campaigns. Her work includes notable advertisements for Jeevansathi.com[4], Max Fashion, Fair & Handsome, Imperial Blue[5], Nature Power beauty soap, Federal Bank, and Dabur Hajmola and many more. These early roles helped establish her presence in the advertising industry and showcased her versatility in representing diverse brands.

She made her Bollywood film debut as a lead actress in Deepak Anand's film The Rally. Her performance in the film received positive reviews and made a significant impression on audiences. Prior to this, she appeared in a brief but notable role as a reporter in Kabir Khan (director) successful film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, where she was well noticed.

Mehta began her acting career with Bajrangi Bhaijaan, where she played Female Reporter. Although her early work was notable, it was her role in The Diary of West Bengal (2024) that marked a turning point in her career along with a very notable role in the web series Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu where her character was well appreciated. Directed by Sanoj Mishra, The Diary of West Bengal explores the subject of illegal influx of rohingyas into the country via Bengal, love jihad and religion based vote bank politics in the state. Mehta’s portrayal of Suhasini Bhatacharya earned her widespread acclaim for its depth and authenticity, highlighting her ability to embody complex characters with emotional intensity.
