Kendrick McDaniel (born October 27, 1974 in Longview, Texas) is an American track and field coach and retired American hurdler who specialized in the 110 meter hurdles.[1][2]
Sacramento State University
[edit]Kendrick McDaniel has lead the men and women as the Director of Track and Field & Cross Country at Sacramento State Hornets since 2018. Coach Kenny Mcdaniel was named Big Sky Conference Women'S Outdoor Track & Field Coach of The Year - Sacramento State's Kenny McDaniel was named the Big Sky Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Coach of the Year it was announced in May 2019. The honor comes less than a week after the Hornet women claimed the Big Sky Conference Outdoor title in Missoula, Montana.[3][4] In March 2019, After leading the Sacramento State women Track and Field team to the Big Sky Indoor Track & Field Championship, Director of Track & Field Kenny McDaniel was named the Big Sky Women's Indoor Coach of the Year.[5]

[edit]Coach McDaniel became a Head Coach at Ottawa University Arizona in 2018.[6]
Professional Athlete Training
[edit]Matt Kemp in 2011 & 2012 was coached and mentored by coach McDaniel.[7]
Northern Arizona University
[edit]At NAU, coach McDaniel served as Associate Head Coach - Sprints and Hurdles from 2011-2017.[8][9][10][11]
Kenny McDaniel just completed his seventh year at Northern Arizona University. Since his arrival, McDaniel has coached his student-athletes to 32 gold medal performances.[12][13]
Arizona State University
[edit]As a Arizona State Sun Devils coach McDaniel served as assistant coach - Sprints and Hurdles from 2006 - 2011.[14][15][16][17]

California State University, Fullerton
[edit]From 2004-2006, coach McDaniel served as an assistant coach at regional leaders Cal State Fullerton Titans.[19]
San Francisco State University
[edit]Coach McDaniel lead the sprint, hurdle, and relay groups at San Francisco State Gators 2000-2004. Under coach McDaniel's leadership, SFSU Gators accounted for three school records, 10 all-CCAA awards, while a pair of sprinters qualified in the 100m and 200m dash at the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships.[20]
Pittsburg State University
[edit]In 1999 & 2000, coach McDaniel worked at NCAA Division II national powerhouse Pittsburg State Gorillas. McDaniel served as a student assistant coach at his alma mater, Pittsburg State University, in Pittsburg, Kansas.
NCAA
[edit]As a student-athlete at Pittsburg State Gorillas, Kenny McDaniel ran for the Gorillas for two years. There, he earned All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association accolades in the indoor 55 metres hurdles, the outdoor 110 metres hurdles and the outdoor 400m hurdles.[21][22]
