Career at court

He was a minister holding the title of daijo-daijin.^[1]

Genealogy

This member of the Fujiwara clan was the sixth son of Fujiwara no Fuyutsugu.^[2] Among Yoshikada's brothers were Fujiwara no Yoshifusa, Fujiwara no Nagayoshi^[3] and Fujiwara no Yoshisuke.^[1]

Descendants of Yoshikado include Fujiwara no Toshimoto, Fujiwara no Kanesuke, Fujiwara no Masatada, Fujiwara no Tametoki and Murasaki Shikibu.^[2]

Yoshikada is considered the ancestor of the Uesugi clan,^[4] the Ii clan,^[5] and the Nichiren clan.^[1]
