"Jump to It" is a classic 1982 song by American recording artist Aretha Franklin. The track is from her Gold-plus 1982 album, Jump to It, produced by Luther Vandross. The song was written by Vandross and Marcus Miller and features background vocals performed by Vandross and Cissy Houston. The single was a major success, holding the #1 spot on Billboard's Hot Soul Singles chart for four consecutive weeks.
"Jump to It" was also Aretha's biggest Pop hit since 1974, reaching #24 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in October.[1] The upbeat single also peaked at #4 on the dance charts.[2] It was nominated for a Grammy Award and several American Music Awards.
