Kathryn-Leigh Beckwith (born February 25, 1993),[9][10] better known by her stage name Kitty (sometimes stylized as ♡kitty♡; formerly Kitty Pryde), is an American hip hop recording artist from Daytona Beach, Florida. While serving as a member of Jokers in Trousers, a comedy hip hop group, she received recognition from fellow American rapper Riff Raff. The duo collaborated on a single, "Orion's Belt," in June 2012.[11]
Kitty was a clerk at Claire's in Daytona Beach.[12] She started college when she was 16[13] and signed up to attend classes at the University of Central Florida.[14]
Kitty's song "Okay Cupid" became a viral hit and was ranked number 17 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the top 50 songs of 2012.[15]
In 2015, she was chosen to perform as a headliner at Pacific Northwest music festival VanFest Five.[16]
On May 25, 2016, Kitty married musician Sam Ray.[17] In July 2016, the couple formed an EDM musical duo named 56colors; they release both original songs and remixes via SoundCloud.[18]
