Llanddeiniolen is a community in the county of Gwynedd, Wales, and is 124 miles (200 km) from Cardiff and 206 miles (332 km) from London. The community also includes the villages of Rhiwlas, Dinorwig and Deiniolen.[1][2] In 2011 the population of Llanddeiniolen was 5072 (the third-largest in Gwynedd) with 76.2% of them able to speak Welsh.[3]

The Welsh wrestler and harpist Marged ferch Ifan was buried here in 1783.[4]

Castell Llanddeiniolen motte and bailey lies nearby. The name derives from the Welsh saint Deiniol (died 584).
