Lufthansa Technik AG ('Lufthansa Engineering', often referred to simply as “LHT”) provides maintenance, completions, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for aircraft, and maintenance, repair, and MRO services for engines and components. The Lufthansa Technik Group consists of 32 companies with more than 25,500 employees. It is a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group.
Lufthansa Technik's base is at Hamburg Airport. Other important German sites are at Frankfurt Airport and Munich Airport. There is an overseas one at Aguadilla Airport in Puerto Rico. Smaller sites in Germany are at Berlin Tegel Airport (Line Maintenance) and Berlin Schönefeld Airport (C-checks).
Lufthansa Technik has 12 facilities in Europe and another 9 outside Europe. Some of them are: Lufthansa Technik Shannon in Ireland, Lufthansa Technik Malta, Lufthansa Technik Budapest, Lufthansa Technik Milan, Lufthansa Technik Services India, Lufthansa Technik Philippines, Lufthansa Technik Brussels and Lufthansa Technik Sofia at Sofia Airport (D-checks).
The most important product of Lufthansa Technik for maintenance and overhaul of aircraft is Total Technical Support (TTS). This product integrates all Lufthansa Technik services.
