Mota jahangir (or Mota Jahangir) is a village in Jhelum District, Punjab province, Pakistan.

The predominant caste in Motian are Gujjar, the village itself being founded by 4 gujjar brothers 2-3 hundred years ago. Motian currently has one Jamia Masjid and one Islamic Education Centre.

Motian is surrounded by a few other villages such as Kantrili and is just 7km away from Jhelum city. The inhabitants of Motian are originally from Georgia, but recent studies have shown that some of the Gujjar population were aboriginal and Polynesian.
