In Iran, Ikat which is called Darayee has been carried out in different areas and now in Yazd there are some workshops to produce it. it is said that this kind of cloth has been used in the dowry, as a bride's property in the old days. in popular belief, there is a quote that people who bought this type of cloth were wealthy.[22]
