Hi 70.209.67.17, there is no "American Entertainment/Fashion" section in the current events portal. This content is not the type of content that belongs on this page.
Here's some history regarding this content which you can verify by looking at the history:
Your comments insinuating that users are sock-puppeting and committing vandalism are antagonistic. It's also inappropriate to try to hold conversations in edit summaries. If you would like to have a less accusatory dialogue about the international significance of Brad and Angelina's marital issues, lets discuss this here:
My points:
This portal does a fantastic job of listing facts about globally significant current events, and american celebrity relationship statuses aren't globally significant.
Celebrity marital affairs are neither "Art", nor "Culture". They are either "Fashion" (as the cited nytimes article categorized it as) or "Entertainment", neither of which has been a topic in the current events portal.
I'm open to change my mind about this contents placement here, but it would help if other examples of celebrity gossip could be found on these pages, or if any other authenticated users with experience editing this page could weigh in.

I agree (obviously) with removing it. There is little to no lasting significance to this story. It's just click-bait for news sites. We don't need to sell any ad traffic, so I have no idea why we would list it here. I'm totally open to including news about celebrities, if it's actually significant news (like O.J. Simpson being acquitted), but no one is going to remember this story a year from now, much less 5 years from now. People get divorced all the time. Celebrities get divorced all the time. It's just not that significant, especially outside of the U.S. Kaldari (talk) 03:37, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
