After two reverts [1][2] of my add [3], I wish to clarify that the made in China kits are USFDA-approved, as stated in these sources: [4], [5]. This source [6] states that a possible explanation, according to ICMR vice director Raman Gangakhedkar, is faulty operation of the kit. "The kits that have thrown up inconclusive results are Real-time Fluorescent RT-PCR Kit for detecting SARS-2019-nCoV. The make is China-based BGI Genomics Co. Ltd which was founded in 1999." New story cooked in to the original story. Faulty 1 million china kits stopped testing across India is different case, and West Bengal state case of improper storing is different subject and nothing to do with China kits. That "someone" is me. Needless to say that admins can look up or ask for my conflict of interest — I'm pretty confident there's none here. It's easy propaganda to blame China when devices made to U.S. standards are seriously suspected, at least in one case, of even being wrongly operated by Indians. Also, different subject? How does that cook up? It's a worldwide concern, and it seems, not only to me, that science is not up to the task (of providing valid results with rapid testing) yet [8].
