Puttabong (Tukvar) Tea Estate falls under the District of Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. Puttabong (Tukvar) is a tea estate within the urban agglomeration of Darjeeling. The area under tea plantation is 4.37 km2 (2 sq mi) while the gross area is 8.92 km2 (3 sq mi).

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Puttabong Tea Estate had a population of 1633. Males constituted 49% of the population and females 51%. Puttabong Tea Estate has an average literacy rate of 75%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 84%, and female literacy is 66%. In Puttabong Tea Estate, 8% of the population is under 6 years of age.
