Şemmerin[1] (Turkish: Şemmerin, Arabic: شمرين, romanizedShammaren) or Shamarin (Arabic: شمارين) is a village in northern Aleppo Governorate, northwestern Syria. It is located on the Queiq Plain, 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) northeast of Azaz, some 45 km (28 mi) north of the city of Aleppo, and less than 1 km (0.62 mi) south of the border to the Turkish province of Kilis.

The village administratively belongs to Nahiya Azaz in Azaz District. Nearby localities include Shamarikh 1.5 km (0.93 mi) to the south and Tulayl ash-Sham 2 km (1.2 mi) to the southwest. In the 2004 census, Shamarin had a population of 506.[2]
