Sheena Liam Yue Sheen (Chinese: 粘悦馨; pinyin: Nián Yuèxīn; born 7 May 1991) is a Malaysian Chinese fashion model and the winner of the second cycle of Asia's Next Top Model.[2] She was originally under a preliminary three-month contract with Storm Model Management in London, and her contract with Storm Model Management was recently extended to a year due to her ability to book both print and runway work during her first trip to London.[3] As winner of Asia's Next Top Model she appeared in a spread and on the cover of Harper's Bazaar Singapore/Malaysia May 2014 Issue. She also received SGD 50,000 from FOX International Broadcast and a Subaru XV car.[4] She also became the new face of TRESemmé for one of their 2014 campaigns.

Early life

Liam's started off working on set as a TV Show extra when she was 12.[5] This led to her doing television commercials before kickstarting her modelling career with editorials for Seventeen magazine at the age of fifteen. She gained runway experiences from helping out friends who were in Design School. [6] In 2010, at the age of 18 Sheena won a modelling competition which led to her discovery by Amber Chia. [7]

Asia's Next Top Model and Post-show career

Liam was one of the two representatives from Malaysia in season two, alongside Josephine Tan, 23, from Pahang, and was one of the 16 finalists for the show. On the show, Sheena mentioned that she bleached her hair as a tribute to her model idol, the late Daul Kim.

Before winning the competition, she walked in several fashion shows around South-East Asia like, Zakwan Anuar, TRESemmé Indonesia, Beatrice Looi, Denny Wirawan, Sofyan Kwan, Mel Ahyar, Sapto, Staccato and PU3; and appeared on several South-East Asian fashion magazines like Glam Mag Malaysia, Juice Malaysia, KL Lifestyle Malaysia, Grazia Indonesia, InStyle Indonesia, and of course, Harper's Bazaar Singapore and Malaysia as part of her winning prize. She has also modelled for Naked & Co., TRESemmé, Street Fashion KL, Tongue in Chic, Bimbo Aswan, Kaer Kazami, Zakwan Anuar, Alexio Y. , Asraf Isa,and Adila Long.

She currently resides in London and travels frequently for modelling purposes. She's signed with Storm Model Management in London and Erik Talent in Kuala Lumpur.[8][9] In Spring/Summer 2014 London Fashion Week, she walked for Fashion East, Mariana Jungmann, Ones To Watch and Simone Rocha.

Liam was also booked for print in magazines such as Hong Kong Tatler, The Prestige Hong Kong, The Alchemist, Wylde Magazine UK, City Am - Bespoke Magazine. She was featured in print advertisements for Haflins Fall 14, Moxham AW14 Collection, Lisa King London S/S 2015. She also walked for Diane Von Furstenberg Fall 2015 at Singapore Fashion Week.

Personal life

Before winning AsNTM, Liam was scheduled to write for R.AGE, a youth news and lifestyle platform of The Star. In 2014, she won a Reader's Digest story writing competition for a horror fiction.[10] She is currently in relationship with Penang famed Lithuanian artist, Ernest Zacharevic.
