- @Amigao: Hi there, unfortunately moves per WP:COMMONNAME are not uncontroversial generally and require discussion. Sorry! — Preceding unsigned comment added by EpicPupper (talk • contribs) 20:51, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
- @EpicPupper: OPPOSE- Amigao is doing this out of political and bad faith motivations, using a misinterpretation of this rule as a guise. He has a proven conflict of interest on behalf of certain organizations and objectives. It can't be mentioned for privacy reasons explicitly, but he aims to change every single rendering of "Communist Party of China" to "Chinese Communist Party"- because it has a more slur like implication which has become endemic in the US. I oppose this change in turn--Sunderland Renaissance (talk) 00:52, 30 March 2022 (UTC)

- Support. From what I see in the sources, there is no common name for the event itself. So we are looking for the best descriptive name of the event (WP:NDESC). For the terms used within the descriptive name: "100th anniversary", "centennial", and "centenary" are all quite common, and there's no good reason to prefer one of the others, so keeping "100th anniversary" makes sense. I also agree with "Chinese Communist Party", consistent with the consensus established at the main article (which was based on common names over official names). Overall I think the best name is 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party. Adumbrativus (talk) 06:21, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- OPPOSE- Needless and frivolous age move. Both are names are valid, and these inconsequential cosmetic moves are disruptive, and do nothing to advance Wikipedia but detrimental to namespace stability. -- Ohc revolution of our times 10:07, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- Support. The party article is at Chinese Communist Party and not at Communist Party of China. If both names are valid per Ohc above, then the title of the 100th Anniversary event should be using the party title we use for the party article. Gonnym (talk) 08:02, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
International reactions
[edit]The reaction section was removed because someone claimed it was propaganda and not NPOV. It shouldn't be removed because there are many reliable sources therefore making it neutral and not propagandaAAAAA143222 (talk) 14:18, 14 May 2022 (UTC)

- These are sound bites, most of which congratulate the CPC. These "sweet nothings" are merely unencylopaedic instances of WP:METOO that violate WP:TRIVIA, WP:SOAP. I fail to see how they could possibly represent encyclopaedic content. -- Ohc revolution of our times 20:28, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
