Why was it decided to sort by owner points for this year when the prevous two years where sorted by teams lowest car number. It seems to make better sense to sort by the teams car number. Mercenary Roadie (talk) 00:51, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just to move into line with the IndyCar season articles. Maybe in the future, the Indy Lights T+D from previous seasons will be changed to reflect this change for 2010. Cs-wolves(talk) 11:03, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, that sounds like a good reason. While we are at it, I think we should add a Sponsors column to the T&D chart. I would also like the Race Results section and the inclusion of testing dates section which I think should be expanded to include the testing reults. Thoughts? Mercenary Roadie (talk) 15:22, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, go ahead for the sponsors option. Race results & Race summaries can follow the IndyCar route, but instead of going down the separate results pages, we just keep some of the race spiel on the season page. Testing should be condensed into a paragraph or two, plus the dates. The main motorsport WP has had a few frank discussions (including this one) about the inclusion of such information. Just reminded me to stick some information about the Barber test in the ICS page! Cs-wolves(talk) 15:50, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, thanks. Mercenary Roadie (talk) 21:08, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Open testing

[edit]

The information that I used to complete the Barber Open Testing may not be 100% accurate as the Indy Lights web site Stats pages are mess up and cross linked to the Indy Car stats. I am going to email the webmasters for the Lights site and see if they can put back all of the lights information. Mercenary Roadie (talk) 17:20, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Road to Indy

[edit]

With the Star Mazda and USF2000 series being labeled feeder series, should a link be included in the "See also" section of this article? Mercenary Roadie (talk) 01:17, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps a good idea, yep. Cs-wolves(talk) 14:31, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sponsors or Car name

[edit]

The Official Entry list uses car name instead of sponsor for each entrant. Should we change the column name in the Team and Drivers Chart to "Car Name" so that it matches the real world?

On a side note, should the (R) for rookie go next to the driver name? Mercenary Roadie (talk) 19:24, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, we shouldn't use car name. For many entries it would be redundant to the team name and for other entries the team is forced to heavily abbreviate in the car name in order to fit the space allocated by the league. I think we should either remove sponsor (as Indy Lights is not a sponsor-driven league) or leave it the way it is.Rookie status should be denoted in the results table. It isn't necessary to show it in the drivers and teams chart as well. -Drdisque (talk) 19:46, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I second Drdisque's thoughts. Cs-wolves(talk) 20:29, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I all makes sense to me. Mercenary Roadie (talk) 22:01, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

St. Pete

[edit]

Should the Red Flag period of the race be mentioned? Mercenary Roadie (talk) 19:33, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yep. Especially with the competitors starting on slicks, so something should be mentioned about the drivers changing to wets during the red flag stoppage. Cs-wolves(talk) 19:37, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
