Other info: The passengers were originally going to Nkhatabay where the funeral is. Because Nkhatabay has no Airport at all, they wanted to land in Mzuzu, then take cars to reach Nkhatabay District. Tumbuka Arch (talk) 12:06, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Abductive, Chikangawa is in Mzimba District, not in Nkhata Bay District. Coords may need correction. See [here], [here], for general uncontroversial reference, as these may not be reliable sources. It may be misleading to say it is in NkhataBay District. Chikangawa Forest Reserve is in Chikangawa, located in the same district (Mzimba). — Tumbuka Arch (talk) 11:17, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Chikangawa the town may be in Mzimba, but from what I was able to find, Chikangawa Forest Reserve is at about 11° 50′ S, 33° 50′ E, from this paper in International Journal of Forestry Research. That puts the forest in Nkhata Bay, according to Google Maps, OSM, and Bing Maps. The boundary between the two districts runs more or less along the M1 roadAbductive (reasoning)19:37, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikidata says 10, this wiki page says 9. Yet the first listed source is titled "10 people killed". Wikidata or wikipedia should be fixed Ivanbranco (talk) 06:03, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The order of sources has no bearing on the data, that is why the current events tag exists to remind editors of changing information. The latest updates state that it is 9. Borgenland (talk) 06:07, 14 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Plane could not land at Mzuzu Airport - 223 miles north of the capital, Lilongwe as scheduled due to bad weather. Aviation authorities then ordered the aircraft to return to Lilongwe, but moments later it went off the radar.[1]Esmabasa (talk) 17:22, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
