Article error
[edit]There is an error in the article. It states: "The line was operated as an alternate route by Japanese National Railways until 1986". The line was for sure intended to be an alternate route, but was never finished. JNR built only the section Tsukinoki - Marumori. The remaining part, Marumori - Fukushima, was completed by AbukumaExpress in 1988. Hence, it can never has been used as an alternate route during the JNR period.
However, the history section in the article AbukumaExpress (about the company) is correct. In most cases, when a Japanese railway company runs only one line, there is only one joint Wikipedia article in English, as much of the information is overlapping.
Should the two articles be merged or shall this one be updated?

- Thanks for highlighting the error. I have expanded the history details of both this and the Abukuma Express article with a reference to clarify the opening dates of the various sections. I don't see any need to merge the line article with the operator article, though. --DAJF (talk) 00:01, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
