Proposed merge of Afiya Zia into Afiya Shehrbano Zia[edit]

The article is about the same person but with slightly different content? How much should be merged, how? Comments. ─ The Aafī (talk) 14:10, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Afiya Shehrbano Zia was created on 4 December while Afiya Zia was created a day later. Both articles have been written by two different editors. ─ The Aafī (talk) 14:12, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This page was created during WikiGap Pakistan Online Challenge (November 7 to December 7, 2020), organized as part of the global WikiGap campaign by the Embassy of Sweden in Pakistan. The challenge aimed to improve the coverage of Pakistani women on Wikipedia. Both editors were part of the challenge. Now, I suppose, the reviewers of the challange will decide the fate of these articles but, yes, Afiya Shehrbano Zia was created before Afiya Zia.--سیانف (talk) 20:33, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • I've blocked the primary contributor of Afiya Zia for undisclosed paid editing. I'd thus recommend that content be only selectively merged to this article. signed, Rosguill talk 23:22, 16 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Rosguill, what are your findings? That the Embassy of Sweden in Pakistan is paying editors who participated in the WikiGap Pakistan Online Challenge? This seems to be somehow supported by Wikimedia, so Wikimedia is supporting paid editing campaigns? wbm1058 (talk) 17:08, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Wbm1058, I think it's that one of the editors, Hania Tarik, that participated in the challenge also used it as cover to pump out paid articles, interspersed among non-paid work. signed, Rosguill talk 17:11, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
