Born?

[edit]

Was she actually born in Mount Hawke (where there is no hospital) or perhaps in Truro (where there is)?

I don't know, but not everyone is born in a hospital. — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 18:27, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

When pregnant with Alex, her Mum Janie contracted Rubella. At the time, doctors told her that there was a high risk of the baby being born blind and/or deaf, they advised an abortion, Jeanie ignored the predictions and went ahead with the pregnancy.

Looking For Water - Internet

[edit]

"Polydor would not have taken a decision like this lightly, and it would have been based on poor radio and TV interest in the song, and pulled the release to curb their losses." Erm...sorry but this stinks. Every request chart I saw on music TV had both Looking For Water and Honesty high on the list. Every Alex fan knows Polydor was the wrong label for her, but this kind of rubbish in the article only smacks of an attempt to demean Alex and her songs. I am amending it to include the music TV chart information.

EDIT - Actually, after re-reading the entire section, it seems that someone is trying to make the article from Polydor's POV, so I've removed all conjecture and non-fact; i.e. the attempts to steer the reader towards Polydor's POV.

true?

[edit]

is it true that she is a lesbian —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.152.184.157 (talk) 17:35, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unless she has come out publicly since, during the 2003 Fame Academy event and even in a touring blog that she made she was talking about her boyfriend... this was the first time I heard of this, and I think the wiki page may be innacurate, putting her on the Gay and Lesbian list. Is there any evidence being quoted for this?58.106.136.123 (talk) 03:07, 17 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There's something on afterellen.com about her (http://www.afterellen.com/archive/ellen/People/alexparks.html) and when I was around in the forums (looong ago, they're totally dead by now) there were sightings of her with her girlfriend... I believe she also talked about her girlfriend a lot. If you lookup deeper into the internet, you'll surely find something about this. I'm pretty sure about her being lesbian. At least bisexual ;) 78.94.8.226 (talk) 10:57, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
