Military Career

[edit]

When was he in the Queen's Own Rifles? I see a Walter Muir as the only Muir in the Queen's own rifles. Is there a citation re: this? user: 209.161.244.226 21:25, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think there's some work to be done to this article

  • I do not think this is the Alex Muir that fought with the Queens Own Rifles.

Well, according to the Dictionary of Canadian Biography Online entry (and can be found in the 1900-1910 Book), there are three sources that are cited in this period....Before you edit, it's noted there, although he's noted as a Private in the Rifles, and that he was present at Ridgeway.... It is my great great grandfather that was the Walter Muir in the Queens Own Rifles and my father has the picture in his house, and it is also in Casa Loma as well. This is not the same Muir. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.161.244.226 (talk) 15:21, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
