Alfred Traeger → Alfred Hermann Traeger – per source --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 03:28, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
- Comment. The Australian Dictionary of Biography always uses the full name for people included in it, so it's not a good source to go by if you are seeking the "common name". (Eg, it has an entry for "Gaunt, Mary Eliza Bakewell" when obviously the common name for the writer is Mary Gaunt.) In my experience, this person is known most commonly as "Alfred Traeger" or "Alf Traeger", and the g-hits seems to support the shorter versions as being more common. - Oppose. Article should stay where it is per WP:COMMONNAME. A google books search shows 353 hits for "Alfred Traeger", compared to 87 for "Alf Traeger" and only two for the proposed title, "Alfred Hermann Traeger". Jenks24 (talk) 12:20, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
