Photos
[edit]Where did the pictures come from? It looks to be a fun size Almond Joy. subscrib to romanatwood and faze clan FaZe UP and Smile More;]
The full size bar is actually two small bars with two almonds on top. PrometheusX303 16:36, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- I took the photos. It was in fact a tiny one. -SCEhardT 20:28, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- I think the caption should reflect the fact that it is not a regular size bar. PrometheusX303 22:19, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
Trivia
[edit]There is conflicting information in two different articles. Here it is stated that the almond is not a nut, however at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_edible_seeds the almond is listed under "Nut" —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.54.220.222 (talk) 22:30, 23 December 2006 (UTC).
Added back the TRIVIA section. Moved the item about the trains to the trivia section. Some vandals had apparently been on this page and wrote inappropriate sentences like the one above which begins with 'Almond is not a nut?...'. Then presumably those same vulgar vandals deleted the TRIVIA section in its entirety with a note that it was not related. Of course a trivia item which contains the words Almond and Nut in an article about Almond Joy, whose slogan is 'Sometimes you feel like a nut...' is probably a 'related' trivia item. And it is just that... TRIVIA. The Wikipedia guide for Trivia sections states clearly that trivia sections should not be deleted wholesale. -Joe Hepperle 71.32.76.87 10:25, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
I have eliminated several trivia items due to irrelevance. I have posted them here.
1.The slogan "Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't" is correct since an almond is a nut. A nut is defined (among other things) as being the seed of a fruit.
2.The almond is frequently, but incorrectly, said to be a member of the peach family. The almond is not a member of the peach family, but rather it is a member of the Rosaceae (Rose) family. The peach also is a member of the Rosaceae (Rose) family. Thus the almond and peach are in the same family but neither is in the other's family, as this term (Family) is commonly and taxonomically understood.
3.Some other well known consumables that are in the same family (Rosaceae): Plum; Maraschino Cherry; Apricot; Sloe
The 2nd and 3rd concern almonds, not Almond Joys. In the case of item #1, I feel it is redundant to state this and that the slogan speaks for itself. Bradkoch2007 20:05, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Almond Joy Wrapped.jpg
[edit]Image:Almond Joy Wrapped.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

No longer milk chocolate (US at least)
[edit]Once again, Hershey's has switched from milk chocolate to "chocolate." Any chance at updating the article? Jimserio (talk) 17:06, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
- If so, the link to milk chocolate ought to be removed, not disguised. —Tamfang (talk) 06:28, 3 June 2023 (UTC)
