Comment removed

[edit]

I'm taking out the comment at the bottom reading: "Nick Taylor & Chris Longmire are two of the most famous shad fishers, both residing in the Annapolis county of Nova Scotia" - obviously added as a joke by someone.... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.129.109.226 (talk) 18:05, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mating

[edit]

I am surprised to see that this page does not discuss the mating habits of the shad. I hear that they go back to their home waters to spawn, then die, much like the salmon. Is this true? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.238.48.214 (talkcontribs) 15:34, 26 September 2005 (UTC-7)

Battle of Five Forks

[edit]

Is it worth mentioning that Confederate general George Pickett was off at a shad cookout with his upper-crust buddies while the Federals under Sheridan were giving his army an epic smackdown at Five Forks? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.48.61.190 (talk) 16:29, 29 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
