This article was started with material from Scouting in California (section on Camp Bothin). --Alan (talk) 16:41, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Alan. Thanks for your comments about my changes to the article on Frederick Hurten Rhead. He had an interesting life. I think it's good to both leave the material on the Arequipa Pottery with the article on Scouting in California and expand it here; that way, more webs and connections are created. After all, it gives depth to the history of the Girl Scout Camp, and also provides insight to treatment of illness and women. Good start here - maybe there is material online that tells about what prices the Arequipa Pottery pieces are commanding (or have in certain decades), what collectors are interested in, etc.--Parkwells (talk) 01:15, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Last weekend (April 5, 2014) at a Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon on the U.C. Berkeley campus, I expanded this article on Arequipa Pottery. Originally I could not find an article on Arequipa Pottery, and began research. Perhaps I mis-spelled the name when I did my original search. As I was ready to move everything into mainspace back in February of this year, a message came up that there was already an article. Last weekend I added sections, expanded the references and I hope that the scope has been enhanced. I also know a woman working for the No. California Girl Scout Council who will let me take photos of the Arequipa facility as it now exists. I spent many weekends there when I was in scouts in the 1960's. I also spent a weekend there in the 1980's helping with workshops for deaf scouts. I also plan to get more photos of the pottery in the near future and will add these things to the article's page. ChesPal (talk)
