I will review this shortly. However, one thing strikes me immediately -- notability! As currently structured this is unclear. Did he get any major awards? Where is there a good source of his publications and citations? What papers by others demonstrate his impact, beyond the orbituary? I will be happier if you handle those first as I am not comfortable about doing a GAR when notability is not 200% obvious. Ldm1954 (talk) 22:23, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No major awards that I'm aware of. I couldn't find a source that listed all his publications and citations in on place. I sent this article through AfC a while ago, but my thought process at the time on his notability was that he scraped through by being director of two observatories, a member of the International Astronomical Union and a councilor (and I believe therefore also a memebr) of the American Astronomical Society. Please include a cite to his PhD thesis, ideally an online pdf or if not that then a link to a copy at the library of his uni.
Vienna University should either be "University of Vienna" per the WP, or the German language term.
