  • In the lead you seem to assert that the film is certainly lost but in the lower section you say "The film is likely lost" which confuses me a little. Perhaps say that the film is considered to be lost in both?
  • No imdb entry on the film?
Makes you wonder how many notable films are missing for other non Anglo countries on there!♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 21:29, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I thought it would be fine, I'm just trying to be picky on an article which is as sound as a pound!!♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 21:29, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Very difficult to find any fault with this... It is technically sound and I'd imagine that you've already done well to find so much on a 1941 Indonesian film.♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 18:11, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Fire at Produksi Film Negara's warehouse. 1952 or 1953

[edit]

On this article and on other articles of the Union Films series featured topic one can read the following: "a fire destroyed much of Produksi Film Negara's warehouse in 1952." The source is Biran 2012, p. 291. However, Christopher A. Woodrich, Ekranisasi Awal: Bringing Novels to The Silver Screen in The Dutch East Indies (Gadja Mada University Press 2018) at p. 44 reports that "In 1953, a warehouse fire at Produksi Film Negara destroyed numerous master copies." So is it 1952 or 1953? Apparently also Woodrich is relying on Biran 2012, p. 291. I was wondering, given that this and the others are featured articles - is there any way to check the book by Biran and verify the information? I've done a bit of research online myself but unfortunately with no success. Gitz6666 (talk) 23:42, 4 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
