Town or Municipality
[edit]The article about Azzun , says Azzun is a town, while the article of Qalqilya Governorate says Azzun is municipality.
What is the correct information? Slav4 (talk) 11:24, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
- There are both: the Azzoun municipality and the Azzoun town. The Azzoun town is the capital of the Azzoun municipality. This article is about the Azzoun town, although it also deals with the municipality, because there's no separate article about the Azzoun municipality in Wikipedia. -- Brother-in-law of the eldest son of the Head of the Azzoun municipality, YOMAL SIDOROFF-BIARMSKII (talk) 12:00, 6 May 2014 (UTC)

- Azzoun is a locality that is governed by a municipality, versus a village council or a project committee. As for the word "town", we use this to describe Palestinian localities like Azzoun that are governed by municipalities, while we use "village" to describe those governed by village councils or committees. Villages also tend to be small (<5,000 pop.) --Al Ameer (talk) 00:34, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
