[edit]I think this may now be worthy of being designated more than a 'Start-class' article. Opinions, please! Cheers, Bruce Agendum (talk) 23:49, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Classification (again)
[edit]I think this article may now be worthy of more than a C-class (Low-importance) rating, especially in terms of the WikiProject Christianity/Anglicanism category. Porteus was a major reformer in eighteenth-century church history, and an important figure in the campaign against the slave trade (albeit mostly behind the scenes), encouraging figures like William Wilberforce, Hannah More, John Thornton and Henry Thornton – as well as criticising the church for its stance on slavery.
