Trivia

[edit]

{{Trivia}}

  • Bell X1's single "Rocky Took a Lover" was released in Ireland on 28 August 2006. Many Irish radio stations, including Today FM, had been playing the track since before the release of the previous single "Flame".
  • The band's name has in the past been mispronounced by well-established chat show hosts (even in Ireland where Eamon Dunphy called them "Bell Life" and Late Late Show host Pat Kenny once famously introduced them as "Bell Eleven" only to cheer them off the stage as "Bell X Eleven" after a performance of "Alphabet Soup" on another occasion).[1][2]
  • BellX1 performed live on MTV Canada's version of TRL, MTV Live in March 2008.

Checklinks shows nothing concerning, all the references provided substantiate the facts given in the article and all the relevant aspects of the MoS have been adhered to. Apologies for this being brief, but I'm happy that it meets the Good Article Criteria. Good work. HJ Mitchell | fancy a chat? 22:52, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing

[edit]

There appears to be some issues with this source used as a reference in the article. I'm not sure it qualifies as a reliable source. It's one of those banner-and-pop-up heavy websites that probably should be avoided. The title of the reference is also incorrectly spelled. I'm going to go head and tag the reference as an unreliable source. Firsfron of Ronchester 20:36, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"NPR says they deliver..."

[edit]

Who/what is NPR, and why does it matter what they think?

Sounds rude, but some relevance might help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Torydude (talkcontribs) 10:01, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The album 'Field Recordings' does not contribute anything useful with the link, instead hyperlinking toward a general information page about Field Recordings. Fixing this would require creating a new page, which I don't know how to do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.147.238.63 (talk) 04:46, 30 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

GA reassessment

Result: Delist Was going to close this as keep as no evidence had been presented here that this fails any criteria. However I had a quick look over the article and in the lead there was a statement referring to the band as a "national treasure" sourced to the bands website. The overall tone of the lead is very puffy and even worse doesn't actually summerise the article. A quick glance over the body showed similar problems, "Eve, the Apple of My Eye" soon established itself as a fan favourite, and would become a staple of first dances at weddings as well as an inspiration for the naming of new-born daughters. again sourced to the bands website. I don't know if this is paid editing or just fan service, but it is enough to delist. I will also remove all suspicious facts sourced to bellx1.com AIRcorn (talk) 22:08, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
