Family tree

[edit]

A family tree for this individual seems ridiculous and completely out of place in this article, not to mention unnecessary. His parents are already named in the article, so putting them into a family tree is redundant. That leaves Hunkins and his wife and children, which makes the family tree barely a branch. I have removed the tree and placed the names from the tree into prose. -- WV 01:16, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have reinstated it along with several other changes you have made. I think that the tree is useful, it allows one to see at a glance the relationship between three notable people. I also think that the Retirement section should remain and in the future be expanded to include his death. I agree that the section "other" should be renamed, but the admiration ought not to be deleted but move up into the main biography section -- PBS (talk) 01:26, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I know you restored it. Once again - as at other articles - you have restored your preferred version, even edit warring over it. You think the tree is useful, but it really serves no purpose. If there was an extensive family tree, I might be able to see the usefulness. As it is, this family tree is nothing to write home about and is unnecessary. There's no need for it. Prose is appropriate. -- WV 01:38, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
"Once again - as at other articles - you have restored your preferred version, even edit warring over it." I reinserted the same template in the Robert Hastings Hunkins but after you removed it, instead of reinserting it again, I went to the talk page to discuss it. That was because there was a gap between you deleting it and my restoring it. In this case you come along and remove a template that was in situe and after I reverted you delete instead of starting a discussion on the talk page over your bold delete, you redelete again. So who is the one edit warring and not following WP:BRD? -- PBS (talk) 12:31, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Now let us put the tree to one side for the moment and let us discuss the other issues that were involved in the restore such as the renaming of the section and what to do with the admiration sentence. -- PBS (talk) 12:31, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Legacy section

[edit]

I changed the Other section to Legacy; otherwise, the Other section would be classified as trivia and Wikipedia discourages trivia sections-thank you-RFD (talk) 13:51, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
