No mention of Tim in obituaries[edit]

I'd never heard of this lady before her death, but the name Burstall made me take notice. It's not a common name, and I assumed she was related in some way to Tim Burstall. But none of the obituaries I read made any reference to him at all, so I figured there was no connection and it was just a coincidence that two people in the Melbourne entertainment industry had the same unusual surname.

But now I discover they were in fact husband and wife.

Did anyone else share my experience? Why would obituaries fail to mention her very notable husband, from whom her surname came? -- Jack of Oz [Talk] 23:24, 9 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

To clarify: I understand totally the desire to portray her as an achiever in her own right and not just as someone's wife, but to fail to mention the husband, when his career to a degree overlapped and supported hers, seems like throwing the baby out with the bathwater. -- Jack of Oz [Talk] 03:45, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
