Alleged Bill DuBay edits

[edit]

It looked kind of valid to me, maybe some of it should remain with sources wanted-tags. Alt. be placed here for evaluation. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 00:34, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Self-promotional edits = Conflict of Interest

[edit]

A person claiming to be, and likely is, the article subject, Bill DuBay, has made several uncited, self-promotional edits, accompanied by at least one inappropriate edit summary ("Do not change it again"). A subject adding such material to his own article violates the Wikipedia policies on Conflict of Interest, Self-Promotion, and No Original Material.

As well, self-congratulatory phrases as "helped build that company into the largest animation production house in the world" and "where he was instrumental in building" were uncited and exhibited a non-encyclopedic tone. Additionally, the laundry list of Marvel Productions was tangential and can be found at Marvel Productions' own article. A lesser violation, fixed, was of WP:DATED, with phrases such as "which continues to this day".

I ask Mr. DuBay to please read The Five Pillars of Wikipedia and the policy at Biographies of Living Persons if he wishes to make non-promotional, properly sourced and neutrally written edits. -- Tenebrae (talk) 21:04, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
