Legal issues
[edit]There has been edit warring over the inclusion of Hynes' legal issues. Spdrcr19, please explain why this content that references reliable sources should be removed. It does not appear false or even misleading. ––FormalDude (talk) 08:16, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- 100% false. He was NOT found guilty of a single crime. Being charged with something is not being found guilty. Nor was he found guilty by a jury or admitted guilty in anyway. So indeed what Im ben online is trying to say is not properly sourced and is not factual Spdrcr19 (talk) 08:20, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- The content you are removing does not say he was found guilty. ––FormalDude (talk) 08:22, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- All of the content removed was NOT sourced. Spdrcr19 (talk) 08:25, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- What are these then? Bill Hynes#cite note-7, Bill Hynes#cite note-32. ––FormalDude (talk) 08:28, 16 May 2023 (UTC)

- It's not unsourced or poorly sourced. ––FormalDude (talk) 08:31, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- Very poorly sourced and will
- need additional sources it is libelous and the people associated with it are being sued for defamation. Spdrcr19 (talk) 08:33, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- You're skirting very close to a legal threat. Please see WP:NLT and don't pursue this line of argument. The content was adequately sourced. — Czello (music) 08:34, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- It is not a legal threat. People are indeed being sued. https://www.yorkdispatch.com/story/news/local/2023/03/09/new-front-opens-in-think-loud-legal-saga-as-bill-hynes-files-defamation-suit/69987058007/ Spdrcr19 (talk) 08:37, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- If you're not making a threat towards Wikipedia or its editors then other people being sued doesn't matter. Billy Mitchell sues people, but it doesn't make him any less of a fraud.
- All we've done is report on the facts of his arrests, settlements, and pleas. It all is sourced, and your blanket removal of them smells like whitewashing. — Czello (music) 08:49, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
