The Premiership no longer

Bill-o Quotes
[edit]I think pages such as this one could be brightened up considerably if they contained a list of well-known quotes by the individual in question; in this case, Bill O'Herlihy. The man has a very distinctive and memorable style in the way he speaks and presents, which I feel would provide some useful insight into the man, especially for somebody who has never heard of him.
Here are some suggestions:
"Good evening, and welcome to our loive coverage on tonight's encounter..."
"Liam, you were making the point earlier on..."
"And gentlemen, I think it's fair to say..."
"Okey-doke."
More to come. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Corc man (talk • contribs) 22:26, 25 July 2006
- Despite being classed as a presenter, O'Herlihy is also known for including himself in analytical discussions with his colleagues on RTÉ's match panels. After the 2008-09 UEFA Champions League semi-final between Manchester United and Arsenal in which Arsenal fielded a young team and lost, he made the point to John Giles by saying, "this is the point I made about boys which, with all respect, John, you poo-pooed".[1] When he suggested in the same exchange that Arsenal could not move down the pitch as fast as United, he was chastised by Giles and Eamon Dunphy live on air (although Graeme Souness leapt to his defense), with the two pointing out that Arshavin had scored four goals in a recent Premier League match by doing just this.[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.45.197.52 (talk • contribs) 21:03, 5 May 2009

Fair use rationale for Image:RTÉ Sport 035.jpg
[edit]Image:RTÉ Sport 035.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Controversy/miscellanea
[edit]Without hearing the argument for keeping a separate section, my read of the WP:MISCELLANEA guidelines suggest that this type of content is best covered by "grouping and ordering [..in..] an integrated presentation, providing context" (Related advice/opinion on WP:CRITICISM suggests that perhaps "the best approach [...] is to integrate it into the article"). In the same way that the various options are discussed on their merits in a broad essay, am happy to discuss thoughts on how best to approach in this case. At least one editor may have a different approach in mind, but I wonder if the relevant topics are best dealt with in context ("secret taping" in journalism section, "lobbying concerns" in PR company section, "badminton comments" in sports section, etc.) Are there other thoughts? Broadcasting section
[edit]This section needs better sourcing and references. Two whole paragraphs with no citations at all. Challenger l (talk) 00:23, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
- Looks like it was nicely cleaned up. Well done. Challenger l (talk) 06:08, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
