Redirect query

[edit]

Since when have the Irish Independent and The Irish Times been blogs? That and redirecting just a few hours after I've begun work on it? --➨♀♂Candlewicke ST # :) 18:42, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Irish Times page says "blogs" at the top of the page. The Independent page says blogorrah is "little known". I still think this article should be redirected to John Ryan, since the website is small, dead, and easily mentioned in a small section in his article. However, since we're in the Discuss phase of bold-revert-discuss, I won't redirect it until and unless we find consensus on this.  :) Flopsy Mopsy and Cottonmouth (talk) 23:46, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That's a section of their website. Jim Carroll is actually a respected journalist on music and entertainment with the newspaper and is also the co-founder and chairman of the Choice Music Prize. There is no indication that the site is an independent blog by an unimportant person. It is simply a section of a newspaper's website with a list of the reporter's favourite blogs down the side. "Little known" is a misunderstanding of the tone; if you read the article closely it should become clear it is ruthlessly criticising the man involved. The Film Ireland link should verify that the subject of this article has also won a number of awards. I'm perfectly aware though of what you mean; there is another similar but less well-known site which I would not create because in my knowledge it has not achieved the same notoriety. --➨♀♂Candlewicke ST # :) 17:15, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
