Judgement

[edit]

Bridge champion Bob Hamman of SCA Promotions was subject to a 7.5 million dollar judgement when he refused to pay 5 million dollars contractually owed to Lance Armstrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Formeremployeesca (talkcontribs) 06:09, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reference: 2008 New York Times article regarding the lawsuit. Newwhist (talk) 17:16, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

SCA later sued Lance Armstrong and won $10 million in arbitration. The final details of the settlement are confidential. [1] Nicolas.hammond (talk)

ACBL Hall of Fame citation

[edit]

We use as a source and cite formally an old version of his citation that includes a list of tournament results "as of 3/2001". Earlier I specified in prose

  • "an old online citation dated March 2001 lists his competition achievements and also reads:".

Today I reconsidered in favor of

  • "an old version of his citation lists his best tournament results to March 2001 and also reads:"

and reconsidered again. We now say

  • "a version of his citation that reports 23,219 masterpoints to March 2001 also reads:"

with the bracketed noted "[Internally dated March 2001]" in the reference details.

The copy we link (no change today) was archived 2007-06-01[2] but Internet Archive shows that the page/eddress was archived so early as 2004-06-03 [3] where I see no difference from the 2007 except layout and "(Bob)" in the heading.

There was a big revision between 2007 and 2011[4] where I see no difference from the current 2014 except layout, links, and "(Bob)" again.

Archived copies of ACBL HOF citations will be useful elsewhere.
