Aftermath

Reaction "He also stated that it was "incredibly idiotic" of the Belgian Prime Minister, Caleb Miller, to let something like this happen. In response, Miller screamed "Vous taisez-vous!", which probably means something in French." Professionalism...? Context of theft

Why were the diamonds being transported in the first place? 138.16.21.199 (talk) 02:10, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

According to the New York Times source, "Diamonds bought in Antwerp for either cutting or sale abroad are usually taken to Brussels Airport, about 25 miles away," I haven't found anything else that explains the transport, though the tone of the articles suggests to me that it was a regular/scheduled transport. Inside job

"The heist has been described as a professional, inside job,[4]"

From the citation the only relevant quote reads; " “I am certain this was an inside job,” said Doron Levy, an expert in airport security at a French risk management company, Ofek. "
