Rebuilds?
[edit]I know that many of the Metroliner cabs were rebuilt as push-pull cars, but wasn't there an attempt to convert some of the SPV-2000's into a similar use? I remember reading it somewhere, I believe in Trains magazine (not totally certain there), but I can't find the exact reference right now. I believe there was some issue with the idea, with only a small number being converted (2, maybe 3 prototypes) before the idea was abandoned in favor of new construction. - 11 were de-powered and used as coaches for CDOT; none of the stuff I read specific cabs or just trailers. Mackensen (talk) 13:33, 8 March 2015 (UTC)
- I need to see if I can drag up the article again. I know I had it saved for a modeling project I planned. Kitsunedawn (talk) 04:38, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
- There was also at least one demonstrator with a streamlined front that was later rebuilt. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 18:02, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
