No source for death of Kiminobu Okada.

[edit]

There is currently no source for the death of Kiminobu Okada (Mainichi Broadcasting System executive). The original article may have been removed. Wikidata suggests he died of natural causes. Nothing on his Facebook.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.61.5.118 (talkcontribs) 1:30, 21 April 2020 (UTC)

Additional plots

[edit]

Dear editors,

As a part of our project at the University, my colleague and I prepared plots analysing various sections of data related to Covid-19 in Japan with a comparison to some other countries.
We would be grateful and honoured if it was possible to include them on the website.
However, we never edited Wiki and have no approval status.

All the data comes from the verifiable sources, including:

Additionally, those plots are available in both static (Python matplotlib) and interactive forms (Python Plotly).

Plots include:

  • General cases trend with optional smoothing
  • Mask usage in the last 2 years (compared to other countries)
  • Vaccination level (The first dose, fully vaccinated, both population numbers and percentage and with optional comparison to other countries)
  • Testing (tests per case and positive/negative ratio, compared to other countries)
  • Covid severity level/living area (as a "Despite high population density, number of cases / 10000 were much lower compared to other countries)
  • Covid influence on the market 2018 vs 2020 - selection of categories including GDP, country savings.

Since I don't want to dump all the plots here - again we would really appreciate it, if you could visit project Github and take a look, at if any of those plots might be helpful in visualizing and helping others understand the data behind the Covid in Japan.

And if changes are needed in order to follow certain guidelines we are more than happy to cooperate.

We would really appreciate your help and support.
Yours sincerely,
Students and data enthusiasts from the University of Warsaw.
