~~Support~~ (edit) Tentative support per nom and per CLC above. Also, per Wikinav: "Cabana" [the current disambiguation page] has hardly any visitors and they all end up at "Cabana (structure)"[1]. "Cabana (structure)" has nearly 8x as many page views, 53% of readers arrive from a search engine, only 4% arrive from "Cabana" [disambiguation], and most of the pages readers navigate to next are cabana boy, gazebo, and palapa (structure). (Maybe palapa deserves a move, too…) This all confirms my intuition that when people search "cabana" they mean "cabana" and not one of the other "cabanas".--MYCETEAE 🍄‍🟫—talk 00:10, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Comment the article is a poorly sourced stub and little more than a dictionary entry. I still find the arguments here convincing as presented but I don't know if this would survive an AfD. I did some Googling and could not readily identify any reliable sources to expand the article. I also looked at the Spanish and French articles. The problem is that the cognate words are not exact synonyms—they are better translated as cabin or hut so the content of those articles doesn't necessarily apply to the more restrictive meaning of cabana in English. I've changed my !vote to "tentative support" as I'm unsure what the best move is here. --MYCETEAE 🍄‍🟫—talk 22:17, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
